Portable Applications

Portable applications are small programmes that you can download and save onto a USB memory stick/drive. From the usb drive you can run these programmes on any computer without installing the application on the computer itself. The application such as Open Office will run completely from the memory stick and does not need to be installed on the computer at all. This means you can carry around on your memory stick your favourite web browser such as Firefox, or audacity for recording sounds and use the software on any computer in the school.
Instructions on how to install the application are on the Portable Applications website.
