Digital Storytelling is one of the most powerful mediums for communicating knowledge and feelings through technology. Digital Storytelling is not a slide show with sound but it is a genre in itself. Ideally video software should be used to produce the digital stories such as Moviemaker, Imovie or Corel Video Studio. However recently many Web 2.0 tools have been developed to allow the creation of multimedia slide shows from digital or video images. These are mixed with transitions/video effect together with sound to create a multimedia slide show that can be shared with anyone with an internet connection (preferably broadband). What is more the people who view your digital story can leave a comment: that is the power of Web 2.0.
